Definition:
With the term ecocide (from the Ancient Greek word “oikos” , meaning house, and “cidio”, meaning killing) we means the aware destruction of the the natural environment.
Ecocide is a crime, so committing an ecocide means killing, in addition to the various habitat, all the animals that live in them.

“Around a tree hundreds of species live,
if you kill a tree, you kill hundreds of species".
So, the biodiversity is at risk, and with it, its perfect organization of roles and functions that makes the planet earth livable.
The ecocide today:

In the course of history, humans have taken advantage of their own strength to commit ecocide, with the presumption of living more comfortably in the world.
This may lead us to think that ecocide is a part of the natural “circle of life”, or better of our ecosystem, but in fact it’s absolutely not like this, because ecosystem is a natural thing, despite ecocide, which is artificial.
In addiction to this, it is an extremism of man in taking away every resource of a place for exploit it at will.
Examples of ecocide:

We can find an example of ecocide in the world’s green lung: the Amazon Rainforest. This natural area hosts incalculable animals and plants species that, due to illegally-sourced timber, breeders and farmers, have been destroyed for the 17%.
