Human Being, Guardian of a Fragile Planet

Who are we?

We are a group of third grade teenagers attending to the high school of human sciences David Maria Turoldo in Zogno (BG), who decided to get involved and to devote the extra-school time for a work to put the human in front of worldʼs negative changes and the consequences that the can make. When it has been proposed by our english teacher, in collaboration with our natural sciences teacher, about taking part of this international project: Human Being, Guardian of a Fragile Planet, we accepted to participate to this initiative to commit ourselves becoming an example for other teenagers and adults about being an active citizen in front of our planetʼs problems.

Faced issues.

The issues weʼre going to talk about, will belong to every personʼs role in relation with the environment, who are the authors of some transformations like: melting glaciers, the ecocide, climatic changes and the trash left in the ecosystem.
The human is a victim too, such as for the damages to the agriculture, for the drought or an excessive cold weather, the general increase of landslides, floods caused by sudden and intense precipitation, spread of diseases mostly caused by the greenhouse effect, which consequently to temperature increasing, causes physical damages such as heat strokes and increasing of breathing problems.

We will articulate all of this by proposing, about every two weeks, an article inside our web site called:

The Sound of Silence.

The title represents that the nature canʼt be in silence in front of humanʼs abuses, thatʼs why it sends signals and opening words to the human being like, for example, drastic climatic changes, lack of water ecc... so the human comes to consciousness of the damages to the nature which always, conversely, made available to him by offering him a home and the survival tools.

Thanks to this project presented by the group “Giovani Idee” (Benigni and Borra) we want to make our goals visible through concrete actions like dissemination works about objective and unavoidable truth resulting from changes made by humans, and the presentation of useful tips aimed at solving these environmental problems.
